About

A rich history dating back to 9th November 1997, Hi! Club: Speak With Your Hands, Listen With Your Heart, aims to unite the Hearing and our Deaf Counterparts. We offer Sign Language sessions and event opportunities for our Hi! Clubbers to interact with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Community.

Hi! Club shares ‘Signing Exact English II’ (SEE2), enabling Hi! Clubbers to effectively reach out to our local Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing friends.

​

Divided into three levels: Basic A, Basic B and Intermediate, our sessions are catered to our members’ signing abilities, progressing only upon completion of the earlier phase. Hi! Clubbers also get opportunities to become instructors along the way.

Besides acquiring the ability to communicate with the Deaf Community, Hi! Club engages in both school-based and external events.

Furthermore, Hi! Club camps adhere to our custom of signing through fun and exciting activities that will encourage and familiarise Hi! Clubbers to sign. With our camps, we also hope to equip our members with some knowledge about the Deaf Community through sharing.

Ultimately, while making friends and building bonds here, Hi! Clubbers also benefit socially and intellectually. The knowledge gained here will remain an asset throughout their lives.
